The Crystal Coast Community Choir is a source of inspiration for those who listen to their melodious songs. Songs that offer comfort to the broken-hearted. A way out for the downtrodden, and fulfillment for the righteous.
The Choir was formed in April, 1998 at the request of Rev. S.H. Barrow, 111, Under the capable leadership and direction of Mr. Al Norwood. At first the choir's membership represented three area churches. Now there are twelve churches represented. Twenty -Five spiritually blessed souls make up its current membership. The choir continues to grow in membership which is open to anyone who wants to lift up the Lord.
Several programs of music have been provided by the choir. The first program was presented in Hyde County, North Carolina in May 1998. During the past years engagements included historic Mother Zion African Methodist Church, Harlem, New York, St Antioch Baptist Church, Washington, DC, Greater Bethel, Newark, New jersey, New Salem Baptist Church, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania., Mt Zion Charleston, South Carolina, St. Mark , Durham, North Carolina, Allens Chapel AME Church, Roxboro, North Carolina, Macedonia Baptist Church, Douglas, Georgia. just to mention a few.
